Introducing:
The fruity land post!

Enjoy receiving your very own Fruity Land package through your letterbox, courtesy of Postman Pear.

Every pack is carefully put together to encourage children to enjoy reading away from screens. In each pack, you can expect a full colour, two page comic featuring the much loved characters from The Crazy Fruit Bunch, written by Shiloh McMillan, children's author, radio presenter and Literacy Champion for the National Literacy Trust.

Once the story has been read, the fun continues with a reading comprehension activity sheet based on the comic. Children can answer story questions, build their vocabulary, test how well they noticed the little details, and complete enjoyable activities that help strengthen reading, understanding and thinking skills, all while having fun. For younger children, or those who are not yet confident readers, the activity sheet can be enjoyed together with a parent or older sibling. It's a lovely opportunity to spend around ten minutes sharing a screen-free activity while talking about the story together.

Each pack also includes extra bonuses such as a colouring page, stickers and other exciting goodies to make opening the post feel like a real treat.

For many children, the only letters that arrive through the door are bills and other boring paperwork. Receiving their own personalised Fruity Land package brings back the simple excitement of waiting for the post and finding something addressed especially to them, which can encourage a lasting love of reading, imagination and learning.
